If you've been waiting for the IIHF World Championship to make YourFriendsLeague worth setting up — wait's over.
We just shipped Tournament Presets. One click in the league manager, and all 56 IIHF 2026 group stage games are added to your league with the correct teams, dates, times, and venues. Zero manual entry.
What's in the preset
- All 56 group games across both pools (Zürich + Fribourg, Switzerland · May 15–26, 2026)
- Correct CEST kick-off times for every fixture
- Team names matched to our flag system, so you'll see proper country flags instead of generic avatars
- Auto-detected playoffs flag for knockout-stage matches we add later
Your league members get notified the moment matches drop. They start predicting. The leaderboard fills up. You become the friend who organized this. Everyone wins.
How to use it
- Open your league in Manage
- Click the 🏆 Tournament Presets tab
- Pick IIHF World Championship 2026 from the dropdown
- Tick the matches you want (or use Select All if you want the whole tournament)
- Hit Import
That's it. Duplicates are skipped automatically, so if you change your mind and re-import you won't double up.
Why the playoffs aren't included yet
The knockout bracket depends on group stage standings, which won't exist until May 26. The moment those finalize, we'll either:
- Ship a follow-up preset with all 8 QF / 4 SF / 2 Bronze + Gold matches, or
- Let you add them via the manual match form (which already handles playoff tie-blocking — knockout games can't end in a draw, and the prediction UI enforces this for you)
Either way, your group stage predictions and standings stay intact.

We're already building the FIFA World Cup 2026 preset for June. Same flow, same one-click import — across all 48 teams and (deep breath) 104 matches of group + knockout play.
